Know your cashew grade
Most packs never tell you the grade. It is the single biggest driver of cashew quality and price — here is how to read it.
The verdict: If a pack doesn't state its grade, assume W-320 or below — the grade is the quality.
What W-180 actually means
Cashews are graded by count — how many whole white kernels make up one pound. W-320 is the everyday standard; W-240 is large; W-180 is the king grade, just 170–180 kernels to the pound. We select W-180 exclusively, reject brokens and splits, and seal the kernels into airtight paper tubes without polishing or oil-roasting.

How to enjoyA small handful, 10–15 cashews is the ideal daily portion — between meals or with evening tea.
Serve them whole — W-180s are meant to be presented, not chopped. The size is the luxury.
Lightly warm, never fry — a minute in a dry pan opens up the sweetness without adding oil.
Reseal the tube after each serving — cool, dark storage keeps the kernels crisp for months.

Before you order
What does W-180 mean on a cashew pack?
Cashews are graded by count per pound. W-180 means just 170–180 whole white kernels make up one pound — the largest, rarest grade, often called the "king of cashews." Most supermarket packs are W-320 (300–320 smaller kernels) or ungraded mixes.
Why do W-180 cashews cost more than regular kaju?
Only a small fraction of any harvest grows large enough to grade W-180, and every kernel must be whole and unbroken — no splits, no pieces. Scarcity plus hand-selection is what you taste in the size and creaminess.
Are Aurafyn cashews polished or treated?
No. Commodity cashews are often oil-polished to look glossy. Ours are sun-dried, hand-graded and sealed untreated into airtight paper tubes — a natural matte ivory, the way a cashew should look.
How many cashews can I eat in a day?
A small handful — 8 to 10 W-180 kernels — is a sensible daily portion, in line with ICMR–NIN guidance of about 30 g of nuts a day. They are energy-dense, so a little goes a long way.
How should I store the tube after opening?
Keep the tube sealed, cool and away from direct sunlight. The airtight paper tube is designed to protect the natural oils from oxidising — stored well, freshness holds for up to 9 months. Refrigerate in hot and humid climates.
Do you ship across India?
Yes — pan-India delivery in 4–6 working days, sealed fresh at our facility.
